My friend Victor wanted to photograph something other than rural New Hampshire. We considered heading to Boston to photograph city life. However, given limited time, we settled on Manchester, the largest city in NH.
The two cities are not exactly comparable. Manchester has a population of about 115,000 folks. Boston, at about 650,00, is roughly 5.5 times larger. None-the-less, compared to Antrim (population about 2,600), Manchester felt plenty large enough.
I decided to travel light and only took my Fuji X100F, a small rangefinder-like camera; perfect for street photography.
Street photography by FRG? What’s next? I can’t wait. . . Well, Victor has been a good influence on you. He’s getting you out to shoot and getting you out of your comfort zone as well. Like what was done to the former phone booth and the city mural. Thanks for keeping the latter in color. How colorful was the phone booth??
Where will Victor take you next???
