My friend Victor just finished setting up a camera obscura like mine. He wanted to get out to try it and asked my to tag along to offer advice. Of course, I took my cameras along as well.
We stayed relatively local and hit nearby spots with white clapboard buildings that photograph well with the camera obscura. Places that I have photographed many times but are always fun to revisit.
We only got scolded only once for straying too far into someone’s yard while attempting to perfect a composition!
The third photo in this series (Grange Hall, East Washington, NH) mirrors one of my first successful camera obscura photos made quite a few years go. A print of which hangs above our mantle.
“Travels with Victor” has the makings of an interesting series. . .
I can see why the pix would be hanging over the mantle. I’m looking at one of you NH churches from my desk area.
Thanks for that and others. . .
