The weather on Wednesday was warm (for November), in the low 50s F, with ‘bluebird skies’. Mid-morning, I decided to head out with my cameras.
My first stop was the top of Meetinghouse Hill. This is the site of the oldest cemetery in Antrim and was the site of the first meetinghouse. The original meetinghouse still stands. It was moved at some point down to the bottom of the hill and now houses the Antrim Grange.
From Meetinghouse Hill, I pointed the truck north with no concrete plan. I ended up in Warner where I had lunch. After lunch, since I was parked on Kearsarge Mountain Road headed north, I drove on up the road. I had not driven this previously and found that it sort of dead ends a gate in the state park. I gather that there are times that the gate is open and the road gives access to the mountaintop. I did find an interesting barn and fields along the road and stopped to photograph there. I then pointed the truck a bit farther north and east towards Sutton.
I have photographed in South Sutton many times and in Sutton proper (also called Sutton Mills in years past) a few times. However, my first stop was North Sutton and Keyser Lake where I had never photographed before. I also stopped in both Sutton and South Sutton on my way back home this trip.
I really prefer the second set – the sharpness stands out over the obscura ones. Sorry. . .
