Another sign of spring is that the run off is in full swing. The Contoocook River has been up on the paper mill’s lawn at least twice recently. I stopped twice over the past several days to photograph the run off as I went about life.
The first two photos were made on the Contoocook just below the dam at the paper mill in Bennington (NH). The last three photos were made along Nubanusit Brook just below the dam at Lake Skatutakee in Harrisville. The ice photo was made on Gregg Lake a few days before ice-out. (I was standing on the shore!)
I think around here, Spring has “run-off” with Winter. It’s been blustery cold – more like February! You continue to find something of interest to shoot. It’s aLMOST inspiring, almost. . .
