A few days ago, while mowing the lawn, I noticed that the lady slippers around the house were in bloom. This got me thinking… dangerous, I know!
The result of that thought was the first photograph shown below. Yesterday, I headed over to NH Audubon’s Willard Pond sanctuary where I know of a large patch lady slippers. I mounted my fish eye lens and photographed the blooms. I got lucky and found two plants close together (the second photograph). I also made a few exposures with a regular lens (the fourth photo).
Since I had the fish eye lens out, I decided to stop at some of the local water bodies on the way home and photograph them with this rarely used lens. Some of these photos have been ‘de-fished’ in the computer to remove the rather radical fish eye distortion.
FUN!
Always fun with a fish eye! Although those lady slippers look remarkable as well. I think I have a converter for my fish eye but it might be for my old Nikon and not the Fuji. . .
