Yesterday afternoon I headed to the box office at the Peterborough Players theater to get tickets for the evenings performance of Boeing, Boeing. I took along my cameras intending to make some photographs of the grounds. Which I did… see below!
The Peterborough Players are a classic (founded in 1933) summer stock barn theater located about fifteen miles from our house. We try to get there at least once per season. Last night’s show, a romantic farce, was hilarious. The show runs for another week… recommended!
Warning, photo talk ahead! The first three photos were made using my camera obscura; the last two with a fish eye lens. Regular viewers will note that these images are all in color rather than my usual black and white. I was struck by the contrast between the cool blues/grays and the warm reds/greens. Thus, I went with the original color instead of converting to monochrome.
Local theater is always worth the price of admission – enjoy. I do lie seeing the color images of a very interesting building. How was the performance?
We need to pan another shoot in the near future. I have A/ C in my new car!
