I spent most of last week on my annual spring migration birding trip. I headed out on Monday morning and drove up the southern Maine coast as far as Cape Elizabeth before spending the night in Scarborough. I stopped at multiple sites to photograph both birds and the landscape.
On Tuesday morning I headed to the Scarborough Marsh Audubon Center where I spent several productive hours with the birds. Eventually, I headed south again arriving in Portsmouth, NH in time to get a 2 PM boat to Star Island. I spent two nights on the island, heading back to the mainland on a 3 PM boat on Thursday. I arrived home in time for dinner.
This is the first of several posts resulting from my trip. It contains the photos of birds I made on the southern Maine coast before heading to Star Island.
Quite the production! Impressive collection of birds here. Star Island, eh? Never heard of it.
